Strengthening Early Grade Reading and Mathematics in Eswatini Primary Schools (Grades 1-3)
Addressing the low quality of education, particularly in rural areas in Eswatini.

Education research explores effective teaching and learning strategies, policy frameworks, and interventions that improve educational outcomes at scale. It addresses critical issues such as foundational literacy and numeracy, teacher training, technology integration, and equity in access to quality education. Our work is grounded in a commitment to understanding what works, for whom, and in which contexts—particularly in low- and middle-income countries where the need is most urgent.
Through thorough research, we generate evidence that informs real-world decisions and drives lasting change. We partner with governments, schools, NGOs, and communities to design and evaluate solutions that are locally grounded and globally relevant. From piloting cost-effective interventions to scaling proven programmes, our goal is to close learning gaps and build stronger, more resilient education systems. For donors, investing in education research means supporting data-driven innovation that not only transforms individual lives but also strengthens economies and societies.
We work across diverse educational landscapes to develop evidence-based solutions. Explore our initiatives:
